I'm 247 but it seems that Mirror-touched Sea 5 (246 mobs) gives me more EXP compared to Mirror-touched Sea 7 (247 mobs)

Am I hallucinating or is this a known feature / bug?

Would be hilarious if it ends up being Extreme Rainbow Pierre with 10 different colours, or grandma with 8 arms + bind / knockback resistance.

I honestly can’t remember the last time I did a PQ in @MaplestoryU.

The number of Neophyte equipment items being minted every day has always puzzled me, so I did a quick random check. The very first account I looked at already appeared to be a PQ farming bot, with around 370m NESO in lifetime trading volume, entirely from sales with no purchases.

If that activity is automated, imagine how much value these accounts are extracting in total.

I’m sure there are still legitimate players doing PQ for early progression, or even just for fun. Benefit of the doubt 😅

But if the feature is now largely overrun by bot extractors that continually damage the ecosystem, temporarily disabling it may be better than leaving it open. It could then be re-released once proper prevention measures are in place.

This also got us thinking about how differently this might have played out before Boss Essence was introduced.

Previously, you could still receive the rewards while floating in the map before the death timer removed you, which gave parties a small buffer for unusual situations like a clear and party wipe happening almost simultaneously.

Boss Essence was introduced for a good reason - to preserve boss rewards and prevent them from being spread across too many characters.

But it also seems to have removed that small buffer, creating rare edge cases where the party has no opportunity to react or leave before losing access to the rewards.

Hopefully situations like this can be considered, both for our run and as a possible edge case to address in the future.

Still can’t believe this was how our day ended 😭

We spent almost the entire day practising for this moment, only for it to somehow feel like both an achievement and a failure at the exact same time.

Equal parts proud and devastated. Given the circumstances, it would honestly mean so much if the MSU team could still consider granting us the rewards. 🙏

This is a nice table! Though in some cases it may represent class popularity rather than actual dojo efficiency.

e.g. Buccs may seem weaker than Bishops according to the numbers, but taking CP + Levels into consideration, Bishops will need to be 20 - 30% higher in CP just to achieve the same outcome.

I’m genuinely excited. For me, it’s been MSU’s most engaging and replayable multiplayer side activity with friends and the wider community.

I know this is extremely late, and a minigame may not be the team’s highest priority.

I’m sharing because I genuinely loved The Legends Return and think it could become lasting social content for MSU, not just something people revisit during an event.

Really excited for S2 either way 🙏

Most top S1 players appeared to leave once the event ended, with awarded Power Crystals later sold through enhancement services.

Maybe ranking eligibility could include in-game milestones, or S2 could have separate boards for active Maplers and dedicated veterans.
