Lets bring back the social aspect of the game !
Playing MapleStory growing up we remember mostly all the silly things we did like drop game, hide and seek, GETTING MARRIED?! All the side stuff, the social aspect of it was what made the game so fun. Not the grinding and bosses.

With the introduction out of the way let's talk about the update mainly on boss Will
I am going to break down in the positive part and what can be done better
Positive
Lower boss level - I feel in any sense this is required. As a person with day job I am spending a AVG of 5 hours just to get to 246 on Frist day of patch. So is web 3 yes and it's a game don't make it like a job
CP requirements to clear hard will stand as 70 to 80 m AVG to clear - I feel this is a reasonable range . There two things I wanted to note is that firstly not everyone God level hands like faker same cp AVG does not mean you can clear. I have friends who is 50 m cp but still have difficulty soloing hard lotus.
Secondly, if they set the CP too high what the rest of the upcoming boss will be. Game design should make it possible to clear by may be the top 15 % CP player if they cap out on Will what the rest boss that comes after it. Also another then pitch items there not much gear improvement after. We will be using arcane gear for quite sometime so where are the additional CP coming from we can't expect everyone one to 21-22 star arcane to clear all the new bosses
Things that I feel they should improve
Cross world rewards - This been in topic for awhile and is really a important design to keep the reward align no matter which server you in. Nothing much to add on as it's about fair for each char to be getting the same set of rewards
Boss rewards for smaller team - I still feel this needs to be improved
I have a idea of
6 man 100 %
5 man 120 %
So on. This allow solo player who spend more have a bigger pie.

One of my favorite parts of MapleStory is the dress up system, I really hope for more old school cosmetics. Many of us grew up playing Maple that's why we got into @MaplestoryU .
Things EVERYONE would love to see.

@Bushi_gg So with that in mind, the best map is what is best for you and your class.
For me I like Shadow Hall 4. it's one of the easiest map to full clear for Shadower as well as being able to watch finish the new Season of Avatar on Netflix :D
I WAS WRONG !
Higher level maps does not = more exp
Yes it might in some instances, however while grinding i find it difficult to full clear the map because of the layout.
@Bushi_gg gave me a suggestion and to my surprise it was way better.
#MapleStoryUniverse#MapleStoryN
@Bushi_gg Most of us probably have YT / Netflix on the side while grinding so picking a map which requires full concentration will often cause us to grind as efficiently compared to a map that is easier.
Do note there is a penalty at grinding at lower level maps if you are +11 lvl higher!
Even though the team was aware of the Arcane Catalyst issue, they didn't take any proper action.
They said they would take action, but it doesn't seem like anything has actually been done.
I got the strong impression that they didn't really know the details of how this would affect things because they hadn't played the game themselves.
Since MapleStory N creators and ambassadors are barred by the terms of service from talking about the current state of MapleStory N,
I'm writing this post on their behalf.
Oh, ambassadors? Most of you probably didn't even know ambassadors existed, or who they are.
Honestly, even those ambassadors don't know what MapleStory N is. Haha.
Contrary to the main narrative creators are pushing, let me explain why you should NOT play MapleStory N right now.
It's actually simple. NXPC prices, EXP requirement relaxations, and item values are all hitting new record lows every single day.
Tomorrow will be cheaper than today, and next week will be far cheaper than tomorrow. If someone asks you to play together, push it off as long as possible.
In fact, if someone invites you to join them, I'm certain that person should be your #1 priority to avoid in life.
Next, the things they touted as differentiators from web2 KMS — reactors, dynamic pricing, NFT scarcity, RX experiences, web3-exclusive rental systems — none of it has come together properly.
They've simply delayed launches, left features abandoned, or postponed them indefinitely.
What even is web3's identity here? What would make any user pick MapleStory N over a web2 game?
The biggest issue is that the operations team acts like complete amateurs.
They have no spine. Earlier this year, when they released Lucid, they declared:
"By releasing bosses in this direction, item burn has become far larger than before, marking a turning point where NXPC inflow now outpaces outflow.
We will continue with this patch direction going forward!"
Then their actual actions were the exact opposite. They suddenly started handing out Power Crystals left and right, launched a web shop, adjusted dynamic pricing, and began helping low-spend players catch up.
What accelerated this even further was breaking completely from the original KMS patch order — handing out 3rd and 4th job skills along with common skills just to boost player power, letting 30m players ($3K invested) clear Hard Lucid, the ultimate endgame boss, right alongside 100m players ($80K invested).
As a result, everyone ended up receiving essentially the same rewards. The dev team realized this far too late, scrambling to admit their failure and apologize just three weeks before the Will boss release.
They promised a complete overhaul of boss and reward structures through rigorous testing and verification, guaranteeing both the joy of growing stronger and meaningful rewards.
Yet Will — the new boss released 5 months after Lucid — turned out to be weaker than Hard Lucid had been 5 months earlier!?
Back then, for the first few weeks, only an extremely small number of parties with over 100m combat power and fully starred 22-star gear could clear it. Now, thanks to management's coddling, even 50–60m players are clearing Will.
Players who originally only intended to run Normal end up running the exact same boss as people who invested 5 to 20 times more than them, without ever needing to invest in gear.
MapleStory N repeats its failures over and over. And then it repeats its apologies.
That's all there is to it. There's no compensation — they just tell players that the losses suffered along the way are unavoidable.
Some might say the current front-runners' gear is really just over-investment and self-satisfaction. But nothing in what MapleStory N said when releasing Hard Lucid this year, or in the developer notes before Will's release, ever framed it that way.
If anything, they actively encouraged over-gearing and gave players a goal to chase.
So the front-runners saw that and enhanced their gear, grinding hard on the strength of it.
The outcome was devastating, and it makes no sense.
If they had defined the front-runners' gear as over-investment from the start, all but a tiny handful (3-5 people) would never have bothered trying to stay ahead the way they did.
Now that most of the front-runners have finished their enhancement, it feels like the team is just trying to squeeze money out of everyone below them.
I genuinely regret starting MapleStory N. Even getting the server-first clear on Hard Will brought me zero joy. Since anyone can clear it, it gives me chills to think that if players on other servers had just prepared a little harder, a party that invested less than a twentieth of what we did could have taken the server-first clear instead of us.
If reading this makes you uncomfortable, that's just the poison NXPC has drip-fed into you.
From here on, no one is going to pay top dollar for your gear, and no whale is ever going to pay top price for newly released items again.
I’m Akira07. I have supported @MaplestoryU since the beginning and committed more than US$300,000 to the ecosystem. At ~10:50 p.m. SGT on Friday, my account was suddenly and permanently restricted without warning, meaningful explanation or any practical way to speak with someone before the weekend. I am not mentioning the amount because spending money should place me above the rules. It should not. I am mentioning it because it shows how serious the consequences of an unexplained permanent restriction can be.
The notice only referred to MapleStory N Operation Policy, Section 3, [3-3-2] Abnormal Use of the Service. No specific context was provided. What makes this unacceptable is the state of MSU’s customer support. Responses are already extremely slow, and players often receive multiple generic or templated replies before there is any indication that their actual case has been reviewed.
The punishment is instant and absolute, while the support is slow, impersonal and difficult to escalate. A permanent restriction does not simply stop you from playing the game. It effectively removes access to your progression, events, assets, the wider ecosystem and your practical ability to transact through MSU’s services on Henesys Chain.
This raises a serious question about what decentralisation and digital ownership actually mean in MapleStory Universe. Players are encouraged to commit real time, money and trust to an ownership-based ecosystem, yet one centralised account decision can instantly lock them out of practically everything without an appropriate explanation or timely avenue for discussion. At that point, decentralisation begins to feel like an illusion.
Of course MSU must be able to act quickly against hackers, compromised accounts, bots and genuine threats. Strong enforcement is necessary, but strong enforcement also requires strong accountability and customer support. Permanently excluding a long-time supporter late on a Friday, then leaving them with a generic notice and no meaningful communication channel, is not an acceptable process.
Discord does not provide a meaningful communication channel. Moderators can only repeat public information and redirect serious concerns back to the same support system, where replies are often slow, generic or repetitive. There is no clear escalation path and no way to know whether a case has reached someone with authority to act.
Meanwhile, issues often seem to gain attention only after becoming public on X. That creates an unhealthy situation where players feel forced to criticise or FUD the very ecosystem they support just to be acknowledged. Public pressure should not be the only reliable path to a response.
Supporting MSU since the beginning and investing heavily in its ecosystem should not make me immune from its policies. But it makes the lack of a serious and proportionate support process even more concerning. If someone can instantly lose access to practically everything and be left waiting through the weekend with nothing but a generic notice, this can happen to any player.
MapleStory Universe asks its community to place real trust in its ecosystem. That trust cannot only flow in one direction. A permanent punishment should come with timely communication, genuine human review and a support system capable of treating the situation with the seriousness it deserves. Players should not have to create a public controversy just to be heard.
More than US$300,000 invested because I believed in the ecosystem. Perhaps I should have bought a house instead. At least if I got locked out at 10:50 p.m. on a Friday, a locksmith would probably show up before MSU sent its first templated response.
@Akira07_MSU@MaplestoryU Disappointing.... really hope the team does something about this. I seen many botters in the game but constantly and nothing is done about them but they choose to ban you instead? Srsly wtf.
@MaplestoryU Realize I made a Typo hahaha, I mean HWill.
Hoping @MaplestoryU would do something about my teammate rewards, the game use to not have essences which made the gave more forgiving if you died the last second but now it's just brutal if any mistakes happen last second.
1B wasted..
5th Team to Clear HLucid,
Bitter sweet moment with the boys, HWill killed two of my teammates at the VERY LAST SECOND. Glad to we manage to clear but I hope @MaplestoryU team can do something about their rewards and 5th team clear NFT.
