Scrolled through someone's EasyEquities portfolio today and it told a proper story.

Twelve positions. No fireworks emoji chasing. Just years of buying quietly.

Absa up R770. AdvTech up R281. AB InBev up R102. Capitec up R60. PSG up R15. Boxer up R18. A gold ETF ticking along quietly at +10%.

Then the ones nobody posts about. Aveng down 66%. Mr Price down 22%. Lighthouse Capital down 2%. Coronation barely moving.

This is what real diversification looks like. Not a highlight reel. A messy spread across banks, education, beverages, retail, property, construction and gold.
Some green. Some red. Net still positive.

That's the part people miss when they only chase winners.

The banks carry you when retail dips. Gold hedges when everything else wobbles. The losers don't sink the ship because no single stock is more than a slice.

Nobody builds generational wealth off one lucky pick. They build it off exactly this. Boring, spread out, held through the red months, still standing after.

This portfolio isn't rich yet. But it's positioned to be.

Diversify like nobody's watching.

WOMAN DIES IN CAR FIRE NEAR BRITS:

A woman died after a stranded vehicle she and her husband were sleeping in caught fire in De Wildt, near Brits, at about 03:00 on Friday.

The couple had been stranded since Thursday evening after their car broke down on the R566 and local residents helped move the vehicle off the road.

The husband escaped unharmed, while the cause of the fire is under investigation.
