This is so upsetting to see that even though child car seats are made from recyclable materials, 90% of them fill up landfills instead. Do your part and research how to recycle correctly instead of being naive. #marenvs20
I loved our field trip today to Maroubra! Sad to see all the trash, but I also made sure to pick up some bottles and plastic bags I saw on the ground by the sand dune vegetation. I learned that the vegetation in the dunes helps hold the sand dunes in place! #marenvs20
At our field trip today we made sure to pick up trash when we saw it. Small steps to take in order to protect and maintain a healthy environment for marine life. #marenvs20
This is heartbreaking to see. The bears are so unbelievably thin! All because their food source, the salmon, are being killed off by heat and irresponsible fishing #MarEnvS20 https://t.co/le3OgaGRjZ
I just looked into puffer fish and learned they are a multi-threat fish with great eyesight to detect predators and can swim away (or float away) quickly! Because they swallow large amounts of water to puff up, I think this one died because of plastics :(

I love this article because it explains the difference between plastic bags and the common misconceptions between the two. It points out biodegradable bags are "great in theory but destructive in reality" because they merely break down into microplastics. #marenvs20
@JkaplanB yes! Great article to present in class showing how sustainability carried out correctly will actually increase a company's profits rather than cost them. #marenvs20
Wow! I found myself watching the whole video and love how he is taking action for climate change instead of just waiting on others to take the lead. #marenvs20
A British swimmer swam in freezing cold temperatures as part of his campaign to help preserve the regionโs habitat! The commitment and passion he is displaying is remarkable #MarEnvs20
This is so pretty I can't wait to go check it out soon!! Especially now that I know dugongs have been hunted for 4,000 years in northern Australia. #marenvs20
#MarEnvS20 would definitely recommend checking out Sydneyโs aquarium. From seeing live dugongs that we learned about in class to discovering more ways we can help our marine environment, it was an extremely worthwhile experience. Here are some photos I took along the way!
When I went food shopping with my friend
@danielleBazzoc1, I made sure she bought Skipjack tuna that came from a sustainable stock and was properly labeled! #marenvs20
The 12 apostles and the Loch Ard Gorge are located in Port Campbell, Victoria and are a result of extreme weather conditions and erosion of the limestone. #marenvs20
This weekend I went to Melbourne and went on the Great Ocean Road Tour! Highly recommend and I got to see koalas in their natural habitat at Kennett River! I learned that koalas sleep 20/24 hours and only wake up to find food, move to a different branch, or socialize #marenvs20
@sherbaljustin @RosenfeldChloe @BetoffPaige#marenvs20 yes i agree 100%! This is terrible to see and especially because this is becoming more common due to all the pollution and plastics covering the ocean. So sad to see.
My friend just told me that because of the cold temperatures in Florida, people have to be on the lookout for iguanas falling on them from trees because they become immobile and can't hold their grip! Crazy! #marenvs20

At 17 years old, Greta Thunberg is the person of the year for TIME magazine. She is a climate activist who sailed for 2 weeks from Britain to New York instead of flying due to the carbon emissions of the airline industry. #marenvs20
