Overfishing. Toxins. Bycatch. Microplastics. What fish are actually still #sustainable and safe to eat? Visualising the latest data from @Greenpeace, @MSCecolabel & @mscuk in an interactive #infographic - https://t.co/Uskv29d0Q2
Visited Byron Bay this weekend and got see some amazing beaches and marine life. There were a ton of Blue Bottles and in the ocean a bunch were on the shore. I was sure to not touch the blue part! #marenvs20
Videos like these are always fascinating to watch and learn from, however I always wonder if these “unusual” creatures are new invasive species that have been forced to migrate due to climate change #marENVS20
I got really facinated by the leopard seals after learning about them in class! Did you know that the only predator to the leopard seals is the killer whale? If they escape the wrath of the killer whale, they can live up to 26 years old. #marenvs20
What a great day in Australia! Only fitting for the MarineFest Today! We’ve learned in class how important sharks are to our ecosystem, and how calling for a mass killing is not a viable solution! #MarEnvs20
My favorite part of the field trip to Maroubra Beach you ask? Easily the sea squirts! I was surprised to hear that they have primitive vertebrates and internal organs. SO COOL #marenvs20
What a day yesterday at Bondi Beach! Bondi Beach is just one Australian beach protected by shark nets. Shark nets however have had a 63% failure rate and often kill sharks rather than simply decrease interaction b/w humans and sharks. #MarEnvS20

So proud of these employees speaking out against Amazon's climate change hypocrisy, even if it meant they might lose their job. We have to call these companies out so that they value people over profits!! #marenvs20
Spent yesterday’s class looking at the major differences in terrestrial and marine mammals! Their teeth, a key difference, play very different functions for the prey caught by these large animals #marENVS20
Sustainability is reshaping finance and capitalism, giving business leaders the historic opportunity to ward off environmental catastrophe. #Marenvs20

We had a pretty hands-on class on Tuesday, examining the skulls of a variety of marine and terrestrial animals, including this baby leopard seal (left) and lion (right). Can you spot the differences between the two? #MarEnvS20
Sneak peek into our group project: we interviewed a sustainable city farm and took a look into their usage of organic fertilizers and the resulting storm drain runoff 👀
