It’s okay to change your mind about things or be curious about new ways to solve a problem.
I went to law school knowing our criminal legal system was broken and thinking being a “good” prosecutor is how I could help fix it.
Now I believe in abolition.
3 years ago I almost slipped into a coma and died. I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes.
I paid $684 for my first 30-day supply of insulin. Some pay $1000+ a month. Many die without it.
Today I introduced legislation to cap the price of insulin at $50 a month. #txlege
For whatever it’s worth, usually a couple hundred children die of seasonal influenza in the US each year.
This year: One. Literally one child died of flu.
And we tested more than ever.
