Always remember, Embers ignite each other. It can start explosive, but when the merge happens you experience one big flame in Unity. The Unreal made real. And there's more Embers, more people with sparking flames that would do anything to be part of something bigger.
Magick!

@POTUS Sorry to interfere here. I am neutral in politics, but what's going on in US and worldwide has an influence on my players and my finances. Republicans are good, their leadership deceived them all though. Corrupted the whole world :(
@snowman647 Yes, the whole world is stuck in disagreement. Need to start trusting people again and be open to each other's ideas and iterate on things on paper so everyone has a say and a plan to follow. Adjust to the team, can only be motivated if you are passionate and feel listened to.
@R_A_J_R_Jr If leveling is part of giving endgame leaderboards a headstart it's not good. Item boosts that give power idd not good. Paid boosts that don't influence end-game but give people with less time to play a boost towards the content they enjoy most, that's where it's at. IMO at least
@snowman647 As a starting point yes. How will you get artists to apply when there's no art to show? How will you attracts programmers and convince them if there's no code yet? Make a base yourself with the skills you have and the vision you have. If there's overlap they'll apply. Then adjust
@R_A_J_R_Jr Gambling is also a big part of blocking independent devs idd. Free to play is only great without gambling practices. Where you get what you pay for without being P2W. (i.e. cosmetics or excl paid classes). Also nothing against cheap level skips if they don't influence endgames.
My #indiedev project is a nostalgic browser-based #turnbased classic fantasy #RPG. The goal is to create a detailed and deep representation of old-school RPG games with more modern graphics while still keeping the retro style using more #pixelart inspired graphics.
The game is just as much about giving fun experiences to other, as it is about playing. You can use the adventure builder to greater and share adventures and encounters.
I started building the game in December of last year. I had a basic concept from a summer holiday project I did.
Now I'm building the game in the hope that I can make enough money to work from home and support my autistic son who also struggles greatly with #ADHD.
The whole project is really a triple-win thing. You get an awesome game, I get an income, and my son has a father that is home and available when he needs me.
The game is in early access and you can play using generic characters, that you can customize a bit. Or you can subscribe to the basic subscription and gain access to creating your own custom characters.
