I've always been a numbers guy so when the COVID so-called "pandemic" arrived, one of the key reasons I smelt a rat within a few weeks was by looking at the numbers. Not the numbers scrolling across the news tickers, deliberately chosen to raise alarm - the source data. An early turning point was watching @FatEmperor's brilliant youtube videos walking through the data on OurWorldInData and pointing out the bleedin' obvious.

Having discovered OurWorldInData for myself I was in data heaven and spent lots of time during my enforced 9 months of unemployment in 2020 plotting graphs and posting them up online to try to persuade people that for example, just because "case" numbers were going up dramatically it didn't necessarily mean that more people were ill, it often just meant more testing (of mostly asymptomatic people) was happening.

I haven't looked at the data for a while (largely because I came to realise that most of the data with "COVID" in the name was deeply suspect because of the way it was manipulated for political reasons).

But this graph showing world "COVID deaths" and "first vaccine doses" on the same timescale is interesting. In particular the peaks of vaccinations coincide with, a short while later, peaks in "COVID deaths". What's that all about?

Correlation is not causation of course, but one thing we can say from this graph is that, given the extent of vaccination coverage in most countries, if the vaccines really did save millions of lives - as we are still being told they did - we should see a dramatic and sustained fall in COVID deaths from mid 2021 onwards, by which point a majority of people had at least one vaccine.

And there is no such dramatic fall.
