We are thrilled to announce that TU Delft will be hosting the 2024 European Geothermal Phd Days ! Congratulations, and see you all in the Netherlands next year ! #egpd2024#GeothermalNOW
Busy week at #EGU23! Not only had I the chance to present my PhD in #MineWaterHeat, but also met dear old friends and heard about a great diversity of talks, from climate-related food security and groundwater management, energy storage, glaciers, earthquakes […] and geothermal!
@fktodd @imolnar Thanks Fiona ! I am glad everything made sense. What a great conference this morning, so exciting to hear about all those projects in the UK and abroad. Looking forward to hearing about yours tomorrow !
Mylene is also on placement with us looking at what controls the temperature of different mines as part of her Doctor of Philosophy at @EdinGeoenergy. Recently visiting one of our projects in #Gateshead exploring the potential of mine water being used to heat homes and buildings.
It’s been such an honour to be part of the amazing @egpd_2023 organising team and a pleasure to (re-)meet PhD students from across Europe in Glasgow this week. Learned so much from the outstanding and essential research work being undertaken in all aspects of #geothermal energy.
It’s been two very successful days of conference in Glasgow ! Many thanks to all speakers and poster presenters for sharing about their fascinating PhD research work. #GeothermalNOW
Very exciting day in sunny Gateshead today with the @CoalAuthority to see the drilling progress for the Living Lab, including some sensor testing and a tour of the Gateshead District Energy Scheme with #MineWaterHeat specialists Dan Mallin Martin and Dr. Adams @BritGeothermal

@fktodd @gus_fh175 @CoalAuthority Wow, just a little bit @fktodd ! But if we can all bring our contributions to make it work sustainably, that’s for the greater good! Glad to be involved in this exciting initiative - and looking forward to having you back !
