@JustLNoNumbers@Colorado411_420 Their "belongings" consist of garbage and stolen property. Where is your compassion for the working and law-abiding people of Colorado?
Can you imagine the public outcry if an employer insisted staff added a Bible verse to their email signature out of “respect” for Christian colleagues - and faced disciplinary action if they refused?
That’s the principle people are trying to justify here. If anything, it’s even more concerning, because biological sex is an objective reality.
This is what Mike Johnston thinks Colorado should look like — a state where Democrats turn homelessness into a business model and call it “compassion.” They drag thousands of people into taxpayer‑funded hotels, apartments, and shelters with zero accountability, zero treatment, zero structure, and then pat themselves on the back like they solved something. Meanwhile the crime, the chaos, the drug use, the disorder — it all keeps spreading. They didn’t fix anything. They just hid the tents and kept the problem alive.
Every Democrat in this state is trying to get their own slice of the homeless‑hotel grift. It’s a growth industry for them. They don’t have any incentive to help people get clean, get stable, or get their lives back. They just keep them sedated, dependent, and trapped — because that’s where the money flows. It’s dangerous, it’s reckless, and it’s destroying neighborhoods from Denver to Aurora.
And now Mike Johnston wants to act like this is the “model” for Colorado? Like this is the future? Like this is what families, kids, and working people should accept? Absolutely not. Nobody with eyes can look at what’s happening and think this is normal. Nobody raising kids in Aurora or Denver can honestly believe this is safe. Nobody living in this state should be okay with their tax dollars being poured into a system that rewards addiction, chaos, and failure.
Colorado didn’t vote for this.
Colorado didn’t ask for this.
Colorado didn’t sign up to be a testing ground for failed policies.
This is what Democrats are pushing — a state where disorder is subsidized, crime is ignored, and the people footing the bill are left to deal with the fallout. And Mike Johnston is right there cheering it on like it’s some kind of victory.
Call it what it is: a disaster. A scam. A political hustle dressed up as “help.”
The "be kind! Be tolerant! Be a heckin' good person!" folks are the most hateful, bitter, intolerant people you will ever encounter. No one should take them seriously.
Seeing the despicably cruel, heartless and abusive way that many people in UK and US have responded to the deaths of conservative politicians, Ann Widdecombe and Lindsey Graham, reminds me that the least kind people on earth are ironically those on the #BeKind woke left.
@GenXJenDen Oh wow. They've been there for about as long as I can remember. Did they specify a reason - was this due to crime and vagrancy, the BRT, something else...?
A useful way to think about migration is to consider what kind of societies the migrants created in their home countries.
Then ask yourself, would you like those conditions replicated here.
@sappholives83 I went into one of their stores last month and saw a sign that said they oppose ICE and support the ability of humans to freely travel the globe. Such disingenuous framing. I turned around and walked right back out.
@nickshirleyy I hope you'll come to Colorado at some point. Denver's mayor is throwing away millions and millions of dollars to these homeless NGOs while city workers lose their jobs and now police/fire pensions may be under threat. And for what? Vagrants who don't want to get off drugs.
@dobetterdnvr@DenverPolice Typical SJW response: He's homeless! How else is he supposed to get copper wire? Why can't you just be a heckin' good person and share with him?
@cwebbonline Anyone who has had a homeless encampment in their neighborhood is full of disdain for these drug-addicted bums, who steal constantly to support their drug habits and trash every place they go. What's bewildering are the people like you who think they deserve anything BUT disdain.
Karen Bass: “How many people, who are unhoused, that you meet have no teeth at all? They don’t have teeth, why? Because meth rots your teeth. YOU CAN’T SUCCEED WITHOUT TEETH! So there needs to be comprehensive healthcare provided to people.”
Karen Bass said this yesterday, Monday, in Los Angeles.
A mentally ill criminal in Colorado walked in front of a plane and nearly killed 200 people.
Colorado has a real problem with crazy criminals wandering our communities and threatening innocent people.

@sola_chad I was looking for a new church last year and the first thing I checked was whether the "about our staff" page on their website included pronouns.
