@Adam_Karpiak It was inSANE … but I AM grateful for the experience because it gave me a passion to fight against that and I can have a lot more empathy for others’ crazy situations
rt this if you’ve experienced a toxic manager at work
like this if you’ve experienced a toxic coworker
comment and tell me if your employer adequately resolved it or if you had to leave
Just saw a LinkedIn post that exclamation points are too aggressive! Do you think they are aggressive!? I use them when I'm excited! Not an excessive amount!
The perfect ! amount ! that is allowed ! per sentence!
If I don't use an exclamation point, I'm probably angry!!!!!!!
@AdamJPosner IMO - Companies need to spend less time on culture bandaids (especially if they're not prepared to keep that going long term) and take a hard look in the mirror to find out the root cause(s) they can't attract / keep talent.
@AdamJPosner if/when the market swings back the other direction the companies will revoke that perk/benefit (see: "Return to Office" fiasco) and it will cause a lot of pain / distrust in leadership ...
@AlaRecruiter I used to think, "I can't wait to get to grandpa age so I can use my age as an excuse for lack of filter."
I'm proud to say that I've accomplished that goal several decades early lol🤣 ... just without the age excuse yet
Not to brag but ... I now own a sauna.
If anyone wants to get a good sauna sesh in with me let me know ...
And by sauna ... I mean that my AC went out

Recent comment on @LinkedIn, "Culture is just a woke term to try to get you to believe they care what you think."
Is there such thing as "Good Company Culture" or is it merely a recruitment marketing scam?
Comment the reason for your answer.
@jessebtyler@LinkedIn@classyllama I was actually thinking about continuing the thread with a thought similar to that.
Culture cannot be written in stone (painted on a wall) and expect to stay that way forever. They're dynamic and can (for better or for worse) change with new people/leadership/etc.
@jessebtyler@LinkedIn 100% - That's one of the big reasons I ever started working for @classyllama ... they were the first company that didn't feel like they were giving me a script of what they thought they should say. They actually gave personal examples.
#Recruiting is such a wild ride ...
1 minute you're ready to hulk smash your laptop screen
The next you're pumping your fists in the air in celebration that someone just accepted your offer.
@Nick_Osborn_@LinkedIn I want to get a shirt made with that quote lol
Agreed on the many sub categories ... great culture to me might be DRASTICALLY different for you and the next person
