I had an idea. I chose a tool. I prompted, iterated, changed things, rejected things, kept things, edited the result and eventually produced something that hadn't existed before I started.

I'm comfortable saying I created it.

Okay, let's use cooking.

My kids want dinner. I decide what I want to make, choose the ingredients, decide how I want it prepared, taste it, adjust it, and keep working until I get the result I wanted.

Then I use an oven to actually cook it.

Nobody says, “Correction: you didn't make dinner. The oven did.”
