@golfweek Golfweek's hit piece on Gary Player is a new low in American sports journalism. Boorish and mean-spirited.
Good grief, he is 87 years old. Yellow snow on his grave marker next?
Embarrassing.
@aeberman12 impressive doom and gloom and he doesn't even broach the topic of declining fossil fuel net energy and the incipient energy cliff ... but, its NFL sunday and somethings are just worth burning the last drops of petrol for ... so off for more chips & beer and then back to the game
@aeberman12@acranberg when did net energy peak?
thought experiment: oil production doubles overnight but net energy from oil declines by 60% ... what happens to the price of oil?
@Browncounty_in Does anyone think that's it's time for the Brown County Sheriff's Department to start policing the county roads to begin saving live and limb ??? Complete mayhem on these roads.
@aeberman12 the commoditized (petro) dollar underwritten by the luxury of readily available surplus oil has granted the luxury of cost-free stupidity
with peak net energy in the rearview mirror those days are over
intensifying energy wars and higher prices ahead
@aeberman12 If the US was actually serious about lessening 'dirty' energy use the National Maximum Speed Limit of 55 mph would be reinstated (and enforced) and economic incentive for car pooling would be implemented. More benefit would be gained overnight than decades worth of EV adoption.
@chambleebrandel@BradFaxon love this Christo ... but, who is the Rodney Dangerfield of golf? ... poor, Brian Harman, often dressed to the nines, but never seen
@GolfChannel@golfgalaxy turned on Golf Today to catch Ricky highlights only to see the most unpleasant man in golf (EL) hosting ... changed the channel ... may check back later
