🚒 Honoring National First Responders Day
Today, the American Red Cross honors the dedicated men and women who answer the call when emergencies strike.
First responders run toward danger to help others find safety. They bring courage, skill and compassion to our communities’ most difficult moments, and we are stronger because of their service.
To every firefighter, EMT, paramedic, law enforcement officer, dispatcher and volunteer who helps keep our communities safe:
❤️ Thank you for your service.
❤️ Thank you for your sacrifice.
❤️ Thank you for the lives you touch every day.
We are grateful for all you do to protect and serve our communities.
❤️🩸 Thank you to everyone who came out to support yesterday’s KBER 101 blood drive!
Every blood donation can help save lives, and we’re grateful to everyone who took the time to roll up a sleeve and give back to our community. A special thank-you to KBER 101 for helping make this lifesaving event possible!

Today's home heating safety tip: clear the area around your fireplace! 🔥
With temperatures dropping, it's almost time to get cozy by the fire with your loved ones. If you're roasting chestnuts on an open fire, make sure that potential fuel for a home fire (think curtains, rugs, and decorations) is at least 3 feet away. 🌎🫨 It’s Great ShakeOut Day! Millions of people around the world are practicing earthquake safety and learning how to stay safe when the ground starts shaking.
The American Red Cross encourages you to practice these important steps:
💥 Drop, Cover and Hold On: Drop to your hands and knees, take cover under a sturdy desk or table, and hold on until the shaking stops.
💥 Protect your head and torso: If no sturdy shelter is nearby, drop to the floor and cover your head and neck with your arms. If you’re in bed, stay there and protect your head with a pillow.
