It's been a tough few months and while we have been talking to government officials, one message is clear - we need to be united as an industry before we are taken seriously. So join us today, become regulated and help in our fight to get our industry recognised!
If you thought there was at least one upside to COVID19 and you had been spared @OldDicTheatreCo performing this year - tough. We are regurgitating our 2000 “Seventh Voyage of Pericles” not @changthailud or @SittingRoomLud but online @LudlowFringe this Sat 29 Aug at 1:00 pm 😱
I’m amazed that some staff in hotels/pubs are not wearing masks, especially when hairdressers wear full PPE. We do it to protect staff & clients and to STOP the spead. People will not go in if they do not feel safe, forget the 50%. @BorisJohnson@RishiSunak make it mandatory
@seventiesuk I remember Come Dancing before Strictly and it was in black and white. The game was we had to guess the colour of the dresses before the commentator told you in great detail 💃👗good memories 👌🏻
@hairbarbcouncil Of course clients should wear face masks in the salon . My staff won’t come into work other wise. What idiot came up with that idea 🤣🤣🤣🤣joke right 🤔
So the Government says clients don’t have to wear facemasks in the salon, but a must in other shops 😷am I missing something here 🤷♀️oh sorry you must be following the science
@RishiSunakI The Government have been more than generous to many workers including some self-employed. As a director of a small Ltd hair salon I am receiving considerably less than all my employees. I know the dividend issue is difficult but surely there must be a way around it.
@hairbarbcouncil No we don’t agree, 4th July is soon enough and hairdressers are working towards that date now . Don’t go and confuse things. Social distancing is a bit easier for shops, more complicated for salons
@ProfKarolSikora Hairdressers on a whole have been patient, but can’t wait to get back to work. This of course depends on people still being sensible and keeping that social distancing of 2 metres (look at what 2 metres is) and to stop a second spike in cases.
It's good that shops can reopen in mid-June, but I think millions would love to hear more from the PM on when we can see loved ones.
We desperately need to get the economy moving, but getting families & friends back together is equally important, even in a garden!
Open the window?🏠 🌬 Turn off the air-con?

@BBCBreakfast@DC_PCC Shame on you all!
My heart goes out to all the medical staff who have been dealing with covid patients when they see this! I can only imagine how this will make them feel!
This goes to prove there is no cure for stupid!
Working together and talking to Government to ensure the hair, barbering and beauty sector isn't forgotten during these difficult times.
A lot of work is happening behind the scenes to ensure our wonderful industry is recognised and prioritised.
We are working with some of the key players in the industry to push the Act of Parliament to change from being voluntary to mandatory registration.Become a State Registered Hairdresser and Barber and make the Government sit up and listen!
