@NewBlackMan@cordjefferson Agree. Just saw it with my husband and high schooler. We loved it and what fun deconstructing it on the ride home. Now we must read the book! #AmericanFiction
I went to a screening of #AmericanFiction last night at AMC Magic Johnson Harlem. @cordjefferson did a smart and funny (gut-bucket laughter at times) adaptation of Percival Everett's Erasure. It's still in limited release, goes wide in Jan, but go see and talk about this film.
Watch the new trailer for what critics are calling “the Best Picture of the Year!” #AmericanFiction is now playing in select theaters. Additional cities opening this Friday.

Aya's been doing incredible work forever and has been a part of countless Litquakes. Here's Aya's 2021 event for Litquake Out Loud: https://t.co/2NvOGaVryL
“Artists lead in many powerful ways that are sometimes not visible and acknowledged, so it’s deeply honoring and humbling to get to be a voice in the community and for the community but within the arts.”So cool! Congratulations @AyadeLeon! #poetlaureate

Remarkable news today. Francis's posture toward gay Catholics has long been a welcome change, but this is the most concrete step forward he's yet taken—and it is a significant one.
Thank you, Pope Francis!
@taffyakner Wow, this was an incredibly informative and moving listen. Thank you. I came way from this understanding some things about #TaylorSwift and her art that I really didn’t appreciate before listening to this. A surprise gift.
@dan_sinykin @TheTLS Ever since I read your essay in @lithub, last month maybe? This book has been on my mind. This week my local librarian explained the few copies regionally are out. And there’s a wait list! Congrats. I’ve got a few books ahead of this one and hope to read it in the new year.

This is a bit of a niche request, but I'm looking for 2024 books *about* books, writers, publishing, etc. for a story I'm working on.
Could be biographies, histories, essays, even novels featuring real literary figures as characters.
