How easy it is to be buffeted by the winds of doubt and despair!
But we have a God who is faithful and true to His promises. Let us stand firm on that truth and have confidence in our Mighty God, encouraging each other through both our trials and celebrations.
Napoleon Boneparte described a leader as ‘a dealer in hope’ Jesus is the ultimate example of leadership and, as we begin a new week, we can trust ourselves to Him with confidence that He will be with us and that His purposes for us will be fulfilled.
So often we place our hope in things that are not God, only to be disappointed or let down. I often place my hope in my football team, or the possessions that I think bring me joy.
Of course true hope and joy only comes from knowing the Lord.
American writer, publisher, artist & philosopher, Elbert Green Hubbard said “Don’t take life too seriously. You will never get out of it alive.”
Well, if you take the Bible seriously you will know this is not true, not even close.
God’s word is truth. Have a good week.

This proverb is a go-to verse for when we feel impatient. It reminds us that God's timing is infinitely superior to our own. His timing is always good; never early and never late. Perhaps as we wait for God's right timing, we should be asking ourselves what He wants us to learn?
This Sunday at Redeemer King, Jim McGlade is back preaching from the book of Ephesians, 'Off with the old, in with the new'!
Join us at 10:30am to find out more (or from 10am for a cuppa).
‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’ - Matthew 25:21
Thank you ma'am.
We love this beautiful tribute to you https://t.co/89OovWxrpi
This came to me when I was thinking about the Queen's life and her quiet assurance that this life is not the end, and that if we know and follow Jesus, like the Queen we can know that we will spend our eternity with Him in heaven.
Eternal success is about having your name written in the Book of Life through faith in Jesus; it’s about discovering God’s will for your life and using that purpose for His glory and not your own. God measures success very differently to the way the world does.

Mark Twain once wrote, ‘Life is just one thing after another’. Whatever the ‘thing’ may be for you as this new week begins, draw on the confidence of Gods presence right there with you, and the peace that comes from knowing that he’s got you and he’s not letting go.
We welcome Jim McGlade back this Sunday (28th) to kick off our new series in Ephesians!
Pre-tour drinks from 10am - All aboard at 10:30am, Birdholme WMC.
