What Would Shaykh Muqbil Say If He Saw the Smartphones We Have Today!
Shaykh Muqbil ibn Hadi al-Wadi‘i (rahimahullah) was asked thirty years ago:
“If you have a telephone, then inform us of its number.”
He replied:
“We do not have a telephone, nor do we desire one, because it wastes our time.”

Fatima al-Baghdadiyyah (d. 714 AH)
A female Hanbali scholar who was known in her time as the leading lady of the women of her time, she enjoined good and forbade, spoke against deviant groups in her time such as the "Ahmadiyyah", and accomplished things men could not in that regard.
She was a student of Shaykh al-Islām Ibn Taymiyyah and Ibn Taymiyyah used to prepare himself for her questions due to how many she used to ask him, how good they were, and her quick understanding.
Many women have completed their memorisation of the Qur’an between her hands, such as the mother of Ibn Kathīrs wife, ‘Aisha bint Siddīq, who was the wife Jamāl al-Dīn al-Mizzi (d. 742 AH).
And she [Fatima] also taught ‘Aishas daughter, Ibn Kathīrs wife, Amat al-Rahīm Zaynab.
May Allah ﷻ have mercy upon them all.
Fundraiser: Help Ustadh Muhammad James Sutton with his financial difficulties so he can support his children and resume his Islamic classes where he teaches online for free [🧵]
Brothers, this is a person who has truly studied for about 20 years.
In Yemen, Dammaj, Saudi etc…
If we can insha’Allah help him, so he can setup duroos - teach the people in Jacksonville America, Tawhid, Aqidah, Hadith etc…
Imagine the reward from Allah if you help him spread knowledge!
This is not like those Da’wah clowns who take thousands just to go and debate christian’s.
And I only came across this post now, and the Ustadh is known for his goodness.
[🚨 Clarification and Retraction]
I want to publicly apologize to brother @Alhaqqan90 for having attacked him by crossing his face over the issue of Sleight of Hand in a post earlier, or having questioned his Salafiyyah.
Feel free to retweet this, as the original post gained many views.
The main reason for my mistake and confusion was due to an article that I came across by a trustworthy brother, who quoted Shaykh Ibn Baz Rahimahullah on Illusionary Magic being Kufr Akbar, and the brother explicitly mentioned many times in his video explanation that even the magic that involves no Shayateen whatsoever is still regarded as Kufr Akbar. Although it appears that the brother was mistaken, and what Shaykh Ibn Baz meant was the illusionary magic that still involves the Shayateen and Jinn, by bewitching the eyes of the spectators.
In Sha Allah I will inform that brother about this mistake, so this article can be edited and further confusion can be avoided.
But of course, I don't in any way blame that brother for my mistake, as it's entirely my own fault for not doing a deep search into this affair myself, before posting a refutation like this.
Secondly, after listening to many audios of Shaykh Salih Al Fawzan Hafidhahullah on illusionary magic like the one performed in the circus being Kufr Akbar, it has become clear that the Shaykh is talking about القمرة, and when the Shaykh was asked about the meaning of Al-Qumrah, he explained that it means to bewitch the eyes of the spectators by the help of Shayateen.

Lastly, I want to say that after having watched many videos of Ahlul Ilm on the ruling on Sleight of Hand, it appears that the majority of them highly condemn it, and declare it to be from deceit and trickery, something that resembles magic, and how it can lead to real magic or believing in the abilities of such performers (for the spectators), and hence it is prohibited.
So I advice the brother Al-Haqqan to not post the fatwa for the general public with a general statement that "Ahlul Ilm did not say that it is haram", since your platform reaches millions and how it can open the door to so many evils.
JazakAllahu Khaira
