@mike_petriello @TJStats Defense is very important but it’s not make or break for ROY. JJ will most likely win a gold glove as a rookie but he’s on pace to have the lowest BA and OPS ever by a rookie of year if he won. Sal hitting 30/100 on a horrible offense as a rookie will be too much to overcome IMO

Also leads JJ in every offensive stat you look at besides obp by 10 points which is getting closer due to JJs sub 600 ops post AS break! Defense doesn’t win you ROY.
