He very clearly talking about peak for peak. not a wild take at all, like it or not but 2006 is arguably a better playoff run than any Kobe had, and 2009 is arguably the best regular season either had
I'd say Kobe was better but not by a big margin, mostly about longevity
Waka Flocka Flame comments on Jay Z’s latest diss towards Nicki Minaj, Kanye West & Drake
—“If I was 55 years old with a billion dollars plus in success… I’d have sat with everybody I feel like I have a problem with and we all be friends… I don’t know who hurt Jay Z?” 🤔
Mind you this is exactly why Drake don’t want nobody knowing he’s been way closer to billionaire status than the internet reports. So he can sneak it up under idiots like Jay Z.
Nigga want a billionaire to be doing the same things as his uncles that work at the plant... "I dont like drake cause hes doing whatever tf he wants with his life" .. yall be sounding like some real losers.. im sorry
This is probably the least infuriating playoff series LeBron has lost. He's ancient & his team is way worse than his opponent. It's going exactly as expected.
In terms of most infuriating, I would say:
1) 2023 vs Nuggets (Jamal Murray turning into the GOAT for 4 games ruined LeBron's last real chance for a ring. LA would've destroyed Miami in the Finals)
2) 2015 vs Warriors (extremely winnable if not for Kyrie getting hurt, this one really gets me mad)
3) 2017 vs Warriors (KD made it unfair, still, even w/o KD, GS would've been tough to beat, but possible)
4) 2018 vs Warriors (had no chance to win but still very annoying b/c his 2018 PO run was legendary & seeing him have nothing to show for it was/is sad.)
5) 2009 vs Magic (literally the greatest playoff run any player has ever had was ruined by Orlando's fluke 3 point shooting. Not sure CLE would've beaten LA in Finals tho)
"Where is 2011?" In the moment it was the worst. But it's pretty cut & dry. LeBron got what he deserved. He didn't show up. There's not much to think about IMO. I also don't know if MIA still wins the next 2 if they won in 2011. Motivation matters.
Takeaways from the Spurs Game 1 loss vs. Minnesota:
- Victor Wembanyama and De’Aaron Fox will simply not shoot that bad again, it simply won’t happen
- I like Dylan Harper’s play, but he should never be the best offensive player
- Mitch Johnson should’ve called a timeout and given his guys a chance to slow down
- But the look for Julian Champagnie was a 10/10, nine times out of ten he hits that shot
- Also why are we using challenges in the first quarter? Genuinely why????
- Devin Vassell has been amazing this postseason, truly amazing
- I know Stephon Castle fouled out, but he had a good game, however he has to be more careful
- Keldon Johnson was unplayable in the first half, and was the vocal point of Minnesota’s offense late, they just attacked him
- This game showed how much the Spurs need Carter Bryant’s defensive energy, he has to guard Randle
- Why did Luke Kornet play just eight minutes? The Wolves have so much size???
- The half-court offense has to change, the lack of movement at times is abysmal and Mitch has to get Wemby better looks
- Speaking of, Wemby’s shot diet was awful, no down-low looks, no post ups, and he only shot four free throws because of it
- The Spurs won the rebounding and points in the paint battle, and somehow lost
- Fox has got to be better of taking care of the basketball, six turnovers is simply unacceptable
- The players were bad, coaching was bad, and they lost at the buzzer
0-1. The Spurs are still winning this series. #PorVida
