Another Potential PDP Gombe Governorship Aspirant, Hon. Mohammed Manu Malala, Endorses Professor Isa Pantami

Another potential governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Gombe State, Hon. Mohammed Manu Malala, Retired Permanent Secretary of Gombe State, has officially declared his support for the party’s governorship candidate, Professor Isa Ali Pantami, ahead of the 2027 governorship election.

Hon. Mohammed Manu Malala said his decision followed Professor Pantami’s emergence as the PDP’s sole governorship candidate after the screening process conducted by the party’s National Headquarters and the subsequent affirmation of his candidature by the Gombe State chapter of the PDP.

He explained that, in the interest of party unity and the progress of Gombe State, he had decided to set aside his governorship ambition and fully support Professor Pantami’s candidacy.

Hon. Mohammed Manu Malala also clarified that he did not institute any court action challenging the PDP governorship process and has no reason to do so. According to him, Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami was the only aspirant who successfully passed the party’s screening exercise and was subsequently issued a Certificate of Clearance by the PDP National Headquarters. Consequently, he emerged as the party’s sole cleared aspirant and was affirmed unopposed. He stressed that, based on this process, there is no legal basis for any unsuccessful or uncleared aspirant to challenge the outcome in court.

According to him, everyone who genuinely desires the development of Gombe State should join hands with Professor Pantami, whom he described as a visionary leader committed to rescuing and transforming the state. He also called on other potential PDP governorship aspirants to rally behind Professor Pantami in order to strengthen the party and secure victory in the 2027 governorship election.

In his remarks, Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami expressed appreciation to Hon. Mohammed Manu Malala for the endorsement and confidence reposed in his leadership. He assured him that everyone would be carried along, reaffirming his commitment to working with all stakeholders in the collective interest of the PDP and the people of Gombe State.
