@metapreston iPod needed iTunes to get to PMF right? It was a bit before my time but I thought the iPod launched with most music purchase-able.
Like wasn’t the brilliance of Jobs that every aspect is the product and you could make the deals for the music, build the hardware, etc.
@sam_hatoum So I looked at what you’re building and I can see that you’re building a whole self-optimizing app system.
It’s interesting you went that direction, my version was much more of a Feature Management System much more modular.
@GantLaborde The survival system has to assign ownership, not just add review. If nobody owns the risk and rollback path, AI only moves the failure downstream faster.
Yeah there is a whole new category of person interested in apps.
I’ve been doing some freelancing and there are a lot of non-technical people at non-technical companies who vibe-code a prototype to solve a work problem and now want a real version.
There is some unique sales motion that could create ‘prototyper to champion’ that we could tap in to.
I think companies will end up wanting expert-level consultants more but it would look different.
Buyers will be in one of two camps:
1. Has a mobile app that needs rescuing
2. Wants a mobile app done right
Less staff aug, more full-service. That means:
1. they’re looking for “mobile app help” not necessarily “React Native help”
2. the area of work is less isolated, you may need to do backend and web as well to service that client
3. They may also want design work
@ScriptedAlchemy Interesting, I’ll have to check it out!
So far I’ve been disappointed by memories, I feel like they’re often distorted versions of what happened but I’m guessing you feel like this captures your intent well?
@tekbog Idk even when it can it doesn’t necessarily see the screen how a person sees a screen. It will also always prefer to use some other piece of information.
It’s not a bad starting point.
Models be pissing me off when they make some shit up and then treat it like it’s the 11th commandment.
No Claude you didn’t need to setup a new DB for this, that was just an idea that YOU threw out earlier
@metapreston@BrendanFoody For real, this is just Goodhart’s Law
There are two good reasons to be working the 7th day: you genuinely want to do work or theres so much growth you need to be working.
Day 7 adrenaline better be coursing through your veins and your time better be making a difference.
