Diesel fuel is extremely stable at room temp and normal atmospheric pressure!

Diesel fuel is not very flammable at room temp and pressure. It’s only very flammable at high pressure or temperature, same as vegetal oil.

The fuel is injected into a piston that is then compressed, pressurizing the fuel.

This high pressure causes combustion, expansion and tubes the piston to expand, generating torque.
