@claudeai “Up to 50%”?
That sounds as though we might not even get half of what we had before Fable was withdrawn.
It’s not looking like the best offer ever made.
The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees.
The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance.
Access to all other Claude models is not affected.
We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible.

Today I'm publishing a new essay, Policy on the AI Exponential. AI is progressing extremely fast—much faster than the policy process was built to handle. The essay lays out where I think the technology is now, and the action needed to close the gap: https://t.co/Lh6PWae178

Thank you @BBCr4today for putting paintbrush to canvas, giving listeners such a clear picture of what is happening in #Germany ahead of Sunday’s elections.
Great to hear a range of opinions.
Thank you @bbcnickrobinson and all in the production team.
@OpenAI This is very good news indeed!
Two new #OpenAI models that have the ability to ’think’ before responding is an important first step in potentially irradiating the generative AI phenomenon of hallucinations.
Welcome o1-preview and o1-mini.
SearchGPT from OpenAI looks promising as a long term replacement for Google search.
I hope that sponsored or paid #SearchGPT searches won’t ruin this advancement in look-up resources.
We’re testing SearchGPT, a temporary prototype of new AI search features that give you fast and timely answers with clear and relevant sources.
We’re launching with a small group of users for feedback and plan to integrate the experience into ChatGPT. https://t.co/dRRnxXVlGh
@HarryFarley_ In your live/as live with The World at One on 30/05/24, you mentioned Bristol’s university. I think you’ll find that the city actually has two universities.
@bbcnickrobinson The quote mentioned on today’s @BBCr4today programme was made by former Luxembourg prime minister, Jean-Claude Juncker.
“We all know what to do,
we just don’t know how to get re-elected after we’ve done it.”

Happy World Bicycle Day 🌍
I hope everyone enjoys their ride just as much as we did after yesterday’s UCI Management Committee, which is being hosted at the @Olympics HQ.
