@JATompkins Ugh. I wonder if there’s any chance the vague use of “travel lanes” could work to the benefit of bus/bike lanes. Either way, what a truly horrible legislator.
I have no idea who Kamala will pick for her VP but I speak for the whole Midwest when I say that if she wants to maximize appeal she’ll choose a real milk drinker. No more coastal elites. The people need proud, open, in-your-face representation of MILK
Today I ran to work via the pleasant run trail, took the Red Line to a friend’s house, road my bike back home via the Pogues run trail, and then drove my car to the store. Living the multi-modal dream

@NaqiyNY IndyGo Red Line is a HUGE improvement over previous service. With that said, it’s never going to see massive ridership while the city’s brand is all about sports and conventions, making the city deferential to out-of-town car driver’s wants and needs.
@thedirte I did the exact same thing last night. I did also notice that the purple line has been updated with minor changes as well, so maybe they were preparing to upload the 90% design?
BREAKING: Indiana SB 52 is dead. House Speaker Todd Huston says there is an agreement with IndyGo to incorporate more general-purpose lanes of traffic while the Blue Line project moves forward. SB52 would have effectively killed the Blue Line project.
@JacoMajor I love this. Although there are small portions in the design that include one bidirectional lane that could make this a challenge. (38th street by the Fairgrounds, for example)
The committee just passed an amendment that clarifies the one-year ban on dedicated lanes would only apply to bus rapid transit in Marion County. Rep. Dave Heine, R-Fort Wayne, said he appreciates the amendment because he "doesn't wanna drag [Allen County] into this situation
