With the help of my Gr. 4/5 Ss, I have learned so much about technology. The past few days they have shown me how to share my screen so I could use Mathies to model fractions and answer questions. Thank you to this small group for a great morning meeting!
What to do on a snowy Saturday? Get comfy with some tea and enjoy a few more OAME sessions. Even my loveable cat enjoyed a few! Thank you to the organizers amd presenters. I have enjoyed many sessions and learned so much over the past few days! #oame2020
Thank you @MrBinfield and @MarkChubb3 for an amazing presentation about Noticing and Wondering. Using an asset lens, listening to and supporting Ss math thinking, and asking questions are really powerful assessment tools. Loved this webinar! #OAME2020
Learning from home. Thank you
#OAME2020 and @GLewisOCT. Very informative and thought provoking. I am feeling so inspired and looking forward to more sessions.
Making different paper airplanes today. Planning, testing, and retrying has made for a fun afternoon for our family. Thank you #bhnSTEMathome for the activity! @TrinaDewaele
@RothwellMrs I actually found a youtube channel called touropia. It is taking me on vacations to different parts of the world right in my own living room. It is only the top ten sights/places to see and is quick but hey why not! Makes me smile😊
Public education is under attack not just in Ontario but all across Canada. Today we join with teachers and education workers as part of the @CTFFCE day of action to say public education matters.
We proudly wear #RedForEd, join us! #educhat#CutsHurtKids
#StarExclusive: “Do not increase class sizes” and forget about e-learning were the two main messages for the Ford government from more than 7,000 public submissions during consultations, according to Ontario’s own summaries obtained by the Star. @krushowy:

To the LPS student parliament... A job well done presenting your play to show the meaning of inclusion. To all the Ss who wore pink... thank you! The sea of pink was so amazing to see!💗 @Principal_LPS#PinkShirtDay2020
@LindaDeVos5@GEDSB I found these activities online and tweaked them to support the math learning that we have worked on in class. Ss had to solve 4 problems in different strands to "escape". The Ss were engaged and have asked me to create another escape room challenge.
We had such a great afternoon! We celebrated Valentine's day by eating some candy and working in teams to solve a math escape room. Ss worked on solving problems involving multiplying, area, and geometry. It is so amazing to hear math is fun! @Principal_LPS
@RothwellMrs No these are non standard way of measuring. When they measure they see the angle get larger or smaller compared to the orange pattern block. I did take some of this lesson from the effective guides.
Using square tools, pattern blocks and deci blocks to explore angles. So rewarding when Ss make connections and determine the right angle is a benchmark when measuring other angles.
