This is pretty much true by the way. Police and local authorities leave travellers alone even if they’re involved in quite serious crime.
A friend had a run-in with an armed gang who pointed a rifle at him. No arrests, no prosecution, even though the perpetrators were identified. They were requested to voluntarily hand in their guns, which they did, and that was the end of it.
Their instincts were clearly overridden by their training. He had a stab wound to the face and had left a trail of blood. Why believe the murderer? Perhaps due to practiced racial bias.
I don’t believe the judge’s summing up nor do I consider it automatically authoritative. Indeed it’s demonstrably wrong on at least one point of fact. The latest evidence suggests the police’s actions may in fact have contributed to Nowak’s death.
@fanofnicethings I love the way she’s like “positive discrimination like DEI is illegal and EDI isn’t that” and then when shown an example of it says ‘yeah but that doesn’t say DEI’.
"Hi @TiceRichard can you please show the Tweet where you specifically and unequivocally condemned the Southampton violence"
"I have condemned it!!!!"
"OK. Can you just show us all where".
"I always condemn it!!!!"
"OK. But where in this case".
"Liar!!!!"
And repeat...
