Angela Rayner has received a £61,500 advance for her forthcoming memoir.
The former Deputy Prime Minister and Housing Secretary was paid the sum by publisher Bodley Head on 13 May for a book described as “unvarnished and upfront” and “authentically Angela”.
It will detail her journey from an impoverished childhood in Stockport, leaving school at 16 while pregnant, to becoming one of the most senior figures in the Labour government.
A ghostwriter is being used to capture her plain-speaking style and Rayner will read the audiobook herself.
The book is due for publication later this year, at a time when speculation is growing about a possible Labour leadership contest.
Publisher Alice Skinner said: “Her book will be unvarnished and upfront… an empowering vision for a fairer, kinder society.”
Any guess's on the name of the book? 😂😂

It's quite difficult to say two-tier justice doesn't exist when @ShabanaMahmood last year had to intervene to prevent the Sentencing Council publishing new guidelines that said ethnic minorities and trans convicts should receive more lenient sentences than everyone else.
“The most unresolved problem of the day is precisely the problem that concerned the founders of this nation: how to limit the scope and power of government.”
