@ericweinstein Tyranny vs liberty. As one who believes strongly in religious liberty, communism has been one of the strongest forces against it, and against liberty itself. And that is why I am opposed to it.
I'm not opposed to collectivism, when it is not applied with force.

@gwowls My companion was calling to confirm an afternoon appointment, and I'm getting the news as he incredulously repeated it. I was envisioning a terrorist had hijacked a military bomber and crashed it into a radio tower, in the hour he was on the phone with her. It was 9/11.

@PTSPentax @Costco I don't care that you didn't know when they opened or have an extra early time for those who paid extra for the membership. That isn't the issue. They still let her in (against policy) and you're complaining. They had a policy for incentive, but were flexible. This seems petty.

I went on a deep dive after seeing this comment because I decided I didn’t know that much about Chinese nuclear power plants…

I had no clue there are legit Chinese nuclear power plants that release WAY higher annual amounts of tritium in their routine wastewater than Fukushima’s ALPS treated water discharge. I guess Fukushima just stands out because of the accident in 2011, but even with that data apparently China’s rapidly expanding nuclear program is still contributing more to ongoing tritium discharges into the ocean because of the routine operations from it’s dozens of plants.

Also, Fukushima’s ALPS treated discharges and China’s routine releases from plants are still considered safe under IAEA guidelines though at least, but its still kinda crazy to me that Fukushima catches soooo much flak in public eye still.

“Chinese nuclear power plants have been releasing into the ocean water containing tritium at levels up to 6.5 times higher than the annual amount scheduled to be released from Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings, Inc.’s Fukushima No. 1 nuclear power plant, according to a document the Japanese government compiled for other countries ahead of TEPCO’s discharge.

Chinese state media regularly condemn the planned release. Chinese Communist Party organ, People’s Daily, quoted an official saying, “Japan’s plan is not the country’s private matter, but a major issue that has an effect on the global marine environment and public health.”

However, a Japanese government official said Beijing does not have agreements with neighboring countries on the release of tritium from Chinese nuclear power plants, nor has it provided any explanations about the matter.”

Anyways, I just thought this information was interesting enough to share since there seems to be a double standard in the media regarding Fukushima sometimes, feels a bit undeserved, tbh. 😊

@TeeplesCY Truly, we should trust no party. One party is not aligned with their platform (and actions). The other may be more aligned with their platform, but their actions are not always aligned with it.

safeguarding a nuclear power plant from terrorists, and while there are plenty of mundane dreams (programming, digging ditches, household chores), my point is that somehow, it is never jarring.
Somehow, I go from that, transition back to reality, and there is no dissonance.

I find those moments of transition from dream state to fully awake and alert interesting.
One minute I may be dining out for seafood on the Eastern seaboard, meeting with the prophet, or maybe I'm performing international espionage against a tyrannical regime, there was (cont.)

@dustinharding I interpreted the dressing them as preparing the sticks to eat. I understand that it wasn't unusual to eat wood to fill stomachs, to satiate hunger, knowing it wouldn't provide nutrition.
I recognize that it is not clear.

@jrmiller777 Christ required priesthood authority for saving ordinances. Any church that does not have proper priesthood authority can not save. But that alone is not enough to save, as you must repent and work righteous work.

@jrmiller777 The issue is you take some liberty changing words and meanings. The creeds are not the gospel from the scripture. Joseph did not say you had to accept the teachings to be saved. You then also extrapolate that teaching different than the creeds are not Christian.
