@TimKalyegira It's because the governments we perceive as "independent" are mere installations and generally an extension of the imperial masters with their headqtrs in Europe. Once leaders with true patriotic intentions take power, they're immediately targets of constant existential threats.
@TimKalyegira The nature of the African social-cultural and religious build, coupled with the original government system of Kingship . It's gonna take more time for Africa to match the states you take as the gold standard for "dev't". Imperialism distorted our journey.

@JamesThrot Looking for the next interesting "shorts".. the next catchy story , and this eventually led to a loss in depth. The majority are addicted to short quick content , not really any depth.
Print media lost hard in the digital shift.....
@JamesThrot Think of the delusion "yes we can" inflicted to egos, eventually inflated self images are adopted. Suddenly majority of society lost "special" respect for special gifted talent or just the acceptance that others will always be better than others, eventually everyone believes...
@JamesThrot ...because they're from the ruling tribe and especially if they were in previous regimes coming from unprivileged groups.
Now the neurological angle of the dopamine hits from the phenomenon called "doom scrolling".
People are living zombies π¨... living on a rollercoaster..
@JamesThrot They are good enough and thus "yes we can". This bred silent aggression where those who thought they made it are not offered any special attention. In Africa if you add the scourge of identity politics, the whole thing becomes a mess..there are those who think they're powerful..
