@TrentWoodhill Mental skills are the separator. Specifically, it's our ability to direct our internal narrative in a helpful way that will determine how we respond to failure. Self talk is a trainable skill - I wonder how many coaches feel qualified to coach this?
Truly captivating documentary. Not surprisingly, the final episodes focused on the mental game as the separator. The next generation of documentaries will start with it...
If this doesn’t motivate you to be great, I don’t know what will. “Winning has a price, leadership has a price... ‘The one thing about Michael Jordan was he never asked me to do something that he didn’t ****ing do.”
@IamSandeep25 "Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms—to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way" - Viktor E. Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning

@TheDaily_Coach @mlombardiNFL Great awareness raising @mlombardiNFL - what you think, what you focus your attention on, how you process info, manage emotions, make decisions under pressure, and control your body - this is the mental game and it is the separator in performance.
A nice reminder that our legacy in sport & life will always be determined by how well we respond to defeat and disappointment. Great example from @RafaelNadal...
