This is very true in NYC education circles. If you want to address root cause of education disparities that are diagnosed as early as 3rd grade using standardized state tests, they call the diagnostic racist. Just like calling a thermometer racist when it says you have a fever.

Dr. Wong is a vocal supporter of government preference by race. It doesn't translate into $ though. She donated $200 to the yes side of Prop16, a ballot measure that raised 30 million$ and would allow CA to consider race in college admission. Prop16 is rejected by 56% voters.

@DrKevinJames @ProfJanelleWong Dr. Janelle Wong donated 200 dollars to the yes side of Prop 16. Prop16 is rejected by over 56.9% of California voters. Dr. Janelle Wrong probably think Prop16 will fail given the small amount of donation she made.

In 1996 CA voters banned discriminating on the basis of race and racial preferences.

This year, progressives tried to overturn that law with a new ballot measure. But voters chose to preserve race neutrality by an even bigger margin than before.

We fully support a fair investigation to the tragic death of Mr. Manuel Ellis. But bundling it with I1000/R88 which has been rejected by the Washington state people is a hideous political move which we strongly condemn.
