I have no idea if Lauren Boebert is guilty of what she is being accused of today. Several of the parties accused have already said these allegations are ridiculous including Boebert herself.

But what I do know is:

David B. Wheeler is who filed the sworn complaint.

This is the same David B. Wheeler that:

* Is the treasurer of the American Muckrakers PAC, which became nationally known in 2022 for its campaign to defeat Boebert in Colorado's 3rd Congressional District.

* Made controversial allegations about Boebert in 2022, including that she had previously worked as a paid escort. The web site accompanying those allegations used a photograph of a totally different woman.

* Is the treasurer of the PAC that launched a website and advertising campaign called "Fire Boebert", supporting Boebert's Democratic opponent in the Republican primary, Don Coram in 2022.

* Is the treasurer of the PAC that filed a federal lawsuit against Boebert in 2023. Both parties filed a stipulated dismissal with prejudice, meaning the case was permanently dismissed in 2024.

So to say there is a history between Wheeler and Boebert would be an understatement.

To listen to our Democrat politicians, corporate media, campus radicals, and Hollywood vessels, Palestinians have lived from the beginning of history in Palestine.

According to these useful idiots, Palestine was a bucolic land of cultivated fields, flowers, butterflies, and children playing.

Then, the Zionists and the British stole this “birthright land,” exiled the people, created an apartheid state, and began an ethnic cleansing campaign of terror that has burned unabashedly ever since. 

In reality, there has never been a Palestinian state. Never.

The term “Palestine” was a general name for the area and actually derives from the Philistines, who originated in the East Mediterranean and invaded the region during the 11th and 12th centuries B.C.

It’s a region in the Middle East that is, ironically, more directly tied to the ancestors of the Jews and current-day Israel.

In all, the nations that have occupied the region over the years have included the Kingdom of Israel, the Kingdoms of Israel and Judea, the Babylonian Empire, the Persian Empire, Alexander the Great, the Seleucid Empire, the Hasmonean State, the Roman Empire, the Sassanids  Empire, the Byzantine Empire, the Umayyad and Fatimid Empires, the Christian Kingdom of Jerusalem, the Ayubid Empire, the Islamic State of Mamluks of Egypt, the Ottoman Empire, the British Mandate, and now, Israel. 

What’s missing? Yep, a Palestine.

None of these were ever a Palestinian State. There’s never been people known as “Palestinians” nor has there ever been a birthright nation to call home. 

In fact, there weren’t even “Palestinians” until the 1960s when, after the Arab defeat in the Six Day War of 1967, the leaders of Egypt, Libya, Syria, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia (with help from the Soviet Union’s KGB under the tutelage of the PLO) decided to wage a war on Israel.

The Arab nations realized they could not defeat the Jewish state through conventional military methods on the battlefield. So, they resorted to a strategy of terror.

The narrative became that Israel was a racist, warmongering state illegally occupying the territory that Muhammed had deemed Arabic land. It was then, and only then, that the concept of Palestinian “self-determination” was created.

This “fake news” birthed a war of terror that remains unabated to this day and is clearly playing out with the horrific displays of evil in Israel and the kibbutzim along the border with Gaza.

Nineteen-seventy-nine in the Middle East was a seminal touchstone that accelerated the growth of corrupt governments, leaders, and terror organizations. That year, alone, Iran expelled the Western-friendly Shah and the Ayatollah Khomeini assumed power. Immediately, Iranian forces stormed the U.S. Embassy in Tehran and held 66 American diplomats hostage for 444 days. 

Just days after that act of war on the U.S. Embassy, Islamic fundamentalists seized the Grand Mosque in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, the holiest site in Islam. The leader of the insurgency called for a return to pure Islam and denounced modernization.

Saudi Arabia acquiesced to the Wahhabi concessions and Iran’s Khomeini blamed the U.S. for the mosque takeover, further inflaming the Muslim world. 

Also, in 1979, the trifecta, Saddam Hussein began his murderous reign in Iraq. He would ultimately assassinate over two million of his own countrymen. 

These three events, occurring almost simultaneously, propelled the Arab region, and Israel’s neighbors, into a full-blown, long war of terror against the West.

Khomeini’s ascendency in Iran directly led to the founding, funding, and operational control of two deadly terror groups—Hezbollah and Hamas—dedicated to killing Jews and Americans.

Man-made climate change is not going to cause a mass extinction event.

This is not supported by any credible science and it's not endorsed by the IPCC either.

Global warming is largely benign and gradual enough that most people probably will not feel a couple extra degrees in the annual average (temperature flux varies much larger from day-to-day and from summer to winter). At the very least, it will be adaptable. The idea that most plants and animal life cannot not adapt to the equivalent of what would be bringing Richmond, Virginia's climate to New York City over the next 100 years is laughable.

In the tropics, temperatures have changed [and will continue to change] very little. In most mid-latitude countries, warming will be beneficial: longer growing seasons and fewer cold weather-related hazards, just to name a few.

Even if you believe that global warming makes [or will make] extreme weather worse, (1) more people die from cold air exposure than from extreme heat, so an increase in heatwave frequency and/or intensity will not be consequential for several decades, especially with access to A/C; (2) any increase in fire risk can be more than offset with better forest management; and (3) the CMIP5 / CMIP6 models show only a small ~4% increase in hurricane intensity (maximum sustained wind speeds) by 2100 in a worst case scenario.

We can also easily mitigate flooding with better codes and infrastructure. Droughts can also be mitigated with better water resource management. As for things like tornadoes, future projections (if you put much, if any stock in them) are uncertain.

None of this looks alarming, at least to me.

Some poorer countries may see negative effects from global warming in the long-term, but that goes with any sort of climate change you get. Global cooling also would have negative effects, if not more.

There are pros and cons to everything. Risk always is present and you are not entitled to zero risk.

We need do also be cautious with AI (regulations and safeguards are important, especially for deep fakes), but most of fear mongering that I am seeing about AI has parallels to climate doomerism.

It’s truly unbelievable that the chief of police in Austin, the Mayor of Austin, and the Congressman from Austin are all racing to a camera and a microphone before knowing the details of what happened.

They are calling for the removal of ICE without knowing the details and it is totally irresponsible.
