@Kagan_M_Dunlap They really want to be here. That's why my "suicidal empathy" kicks in. These are brave men who concluded that life in Haiti was terrible and wanted to come to the land of opportunity.
It's hard for me to say - they must go home.
@jackunheard I was wondering if this would happen. I'm a Floridian, so I don't have a dog in this hunt. Where are you seeing that the mail votes are 100% against Pratt? Just curious. It must be a reliable source.
That's exactly it, but you make it sound so dirty.
It sounds better if you say 'they pivoted'. And think about training models... it's an endless race and no matter who is ahead, China will catch up and give it away for free. The money is in HOSTING the models. Not creating them.
The need for them only became apparent when the push against data centers, the lack of energy, the unwillingness of the US to take the steps needed to ensure reliable energy all became so obvious. In other words, only within the last 24 months or so. Prior to that, data centers were a relatively easy thing to conceive of.
@bryan_johnson Oh man, that would have been uncomfortable. Her dad pulling you aside to say, "I want to talk to you about making such public statements about my daughter and cunilingus." Oof.
@Cointuckeywind1 Your first point was valid. We do need to hold taxing authorities responsible for their spending. The 2nd statement was unnecessary. I pay my $6K per year in taxes, so I know what it means to desire relief.
