@RoryPetzer Take no meds. Drink lots of water. Fast if you can or eat very little. Air your house well in the mornings. Get lots of rest. Let your nose run, keep roll of toilet paper handy.Dab nose often with Vaseline. Four to five days and you will be fine. You're welcome xxx.

I was invited to dinner last night and the hostess effortlessly created a soft, elegant setting for her friends with this beautiful tablescape.
I was reminded of how a simple table can become something special with the right details. The soft light, layered plates, gentle florals, and calm, welcoming palette all came together so effortlessly. It’s amazing how a thoughtfully set table can turn an ordinary evening into a memorable moment.

@RoryPetzer Ag Rory, ignore them, lots of us love you plenty! Anyway, find yourself a girlfriend (or boyfriend...not sure which way you lean). Another body next to you will keep you lekker warm in the winter.
This year’s Easter table was a little celebration of our last golden summer days. For the centrepiece, I repurposed the décor I originally styled on the dining‑room server, this time adding Proteas to mirror the Protea blooms — South Africa’s national flower — printed on the tablecloth. It brought a touch of local pride to our family lunch and tied the whole setting together.
There’s something magical about how a deep, dramatic black centrepiece can pull an entire table together. Against the Chinoiserie china and sunny yellow accents, it turns this Easter setting into a little moment of theatre — warm, inviting, and beautifully intentional.
This is how I turn a simple breakfast, elevated into a celebration.
As my kids and grandkids have outgrown Easter egg hunts, I’m keeping the tradition alive in a new way — with little Easter packs filled with treats and love.
If you’re a mom feeling nostalgic for those early‑morning hunts and tiny baskets, this is such a simple, heartwarming way to surprise your “big kids” and bring a bit of that old magic back. 💛🐰
