Taiwo Awoniyi has been placed in an induced coma as doctors treat a serious abdominal injury, as @MikeKeegan_DM reported.

Awoniyi collided with the post in Sunday's 2-2 draw at Leicester.

Forest said earlier today that Awoniyi had undergone an "urgent operation". The induced coma is to aid recovery. Awoniyi is in a stable condition.

Surely the FA, Premier league or at the very least the club and PFA have to investigate this.

How in the modern game can this be allowed to happen? Especially when your manager double checks with the medical team. The delayed offside rule has to change.
