I hate to say this, but why did we sign Soto?
Signing Soto to 15/765 should have been "go time". Should have signed an ace or two last off season. Should have kept Pete or been on Schwarber.
Why sign Soto then penny pinch? I just don't get it.
With Brandon Nimmo, Edwin Diaz, and Pete Alonso gone, the Mets didn’t just lose three of their most popular current players … they lost three of their most popular 15 or so players *ever*
And it happened in a span of a few weeks
So the reaction fits the magnitude of this
this is such a funny thing to say when the mets started the off-season with like five glaring holes in their roster that needed to be dealt with, addressed absolutely none of them, and then added like three new holes just for fun
People say, "bring the farm guys up," but we're in a spot to compete for the World Series.
We aren't the Rays or Brewers, we're the Mets. Signing Juan Soto to a 15-year deal automatically means you're in a league with the Dodgers.
Prospects won't compete with the Dodgers.
Hardest thing to understand is how does David Stearns plan on puttin together a roster if the only players he’ll sign are ones willing to sign for 3 years or less?
Does that not make it impossible to sign, literally anyone good?
apparently the ebay thing was because I used Remus and not my legal name as my account name???? so you permanently suspend my account in THREE MINUTES, without giving me any reason why, because I have a different first name???
A Glove only 2nd Basemen Marcus Semien coming off injury entering his Age 35 season is worth $72M over the next 3 seasons but Los Mets couldn’t go beyond 3 years on the most prolific power hitter in Franchise History entering his Age 31 season.
Pete Alonso played 162 games in back-to-back seasons and finished 11th in the MVP vote.
David Stearns is LOST
