An informed official told Iran’s state TV (IRIB) that the US Navy, this afternoon, fired 2 missiles at an LPG tanker approaching the Gulf of Oman believing the vessel was transporting Iranian gas.

The attack killed 2 crew members and damaged its engine room, leaving the ship immobilised.

2 were attributed to Operation INHERENT RESOLVE while the other 2 were attributed to unspecified overseas contingency operations.
