Once again we've arrested an associate of the Georgia prison scam ring that continues to target victims all over the country. Fortunately, in this case we were able to recover about $12K of the $15K a DeLand woman paid in Bitcoin. More arrests to come. It would be nice if the Georgia Department of Corrections would wake up and put a stop to this. In the meantime the @VolusiaSheriff Financial Crimes Unit will keep doing everything they can.

An 11-year-old kid in Oviedo, Florida gets arrested, fingerprinted, and summoned to court over riding an electric bike on the side of the road… yet we’re told to look the other way when people are in this country illegally and driving without licenses, insurance, or registration.

Make it make sense.

We’re talking about an 11-YEAR-OLD CHILD. There’s a difference between teaching a kid the rules and introducing him to the criminal justice system.

A man convicted of sodomizing 2 young boys, a 6 year old and a 9 year old has been released in Alabama and has now joined TikTok

Child sex offenders should be banned from social media, they have easy access to additional underage victims

His name is Scotty Lee Russell and he is located in the Pinson, Alabama area

Both his victims were underage boy and the crime was First-degree sodomy

He keeps changing his username but I was able to find his most recent username is “ogsavage927” and it’s active right now

Mecklenburg County Superior Court Judge Reggie E. McKnight sentenced 29-year-old Q'Laundra Hood to 16–29 months suspended with only 30 days active jail time after fatally striking runner Lance Sotelo and fleeing the scene in Charlotte.

Despite the crash ending a 25-year-old man's life, the court waived all fines and costs, ordering just $765 in restitution.
