Katie Miller has a master's degree and a career. It appears that she has consistently worked since she was 20. She can open a bank account, own property, and have a credit card in her name. She has access to no-fault divorce and would be entitled to child support for her baby if she and Stephen Miller divorce. She has laws protecting her against physical abuse and rape by her spouse. She had access to birth control and abortion, meaning that having a baby was a choice.
She is very much not living the life that the "propaganda. . . convinced" women was oppressive. She is living the life that feminism made possible.
Of course, she knows this. She's just a liar.
Want to feel old? This was so long ago that the fact these interns were wearing sneakers with their business attire was so uncommon it was part of the news coverage
The hot new “would you rather” on TikTok is “would you rather leave your child for 3 hours with a random man who shares your political views or a random woman who disagrees with you on everything” you mean would I drop my kids off at my mom’s house?
If you watched the Obama Presidential Center opening, the World Cup, and the Knicks parade yesterday afternoon - and nothing else - you could actually see the America we're supposed to be at age 250.
True story.
I finally realized why I like Twitter so much. It has NO SOUND. 🔇 No screaming TikTok audios, no random music, no sensory overload. Just text. My overstimulated ADHD brain can finally breathe here.
Los mexicanos hicieron un puente de vasos de cerveza para aventar personas por arriba y que los atrapen del otro lado JAJAJAJAJA me encanta que seamos tan nacos
A few years ago, my friends invited me on a ski trip.
I declined.
Couldn't afford it.
One of them immediately said:
"Come anyway."
I said no again.
He kept pushing.
Finally I admitted the truth:
"I have $43 in my bank account."
Nobody replied.
The group chat went silent.
A few minutes later one friend sent $50.
Then another sent $20.
Then another.
By the end of the night there was enough money for the trip.
I felt terrible.
I told them I'd pay everyone back.
One friend replied:
"Don't."
Another said:
"Just do it for somebody else when it's your turn."
That was 8 years ago.
I've paid for plane tickets.
Covered rent.
Bought groceries.
Helped people who never knew the story.
And honestly...
the most valuable thing my friends gave me wasn't the money.
It was the chance to stop feeling ashamed for needing help.
The little boy walked up to a family on an earthquake simulator, and before anyone could say anything, Grandma pulled him right in like he was her grandbaby. 😂❤️
