Happy Pride Month!
Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and equality. This month, we celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and the countless contributions LGBTQ+ individuals have made to our communities, our state, and our country.
For this #SullySunday, Sully visited Sweet-Allyn County Park, Rock County’s first county park.
Established in 1945 through a gift from Ida Louise Sweet, the park has been a community gathering place for generations.
Today, the park is home to the Dan Delong Ball Diamond, fishing along Turtle Creek, a playground, and Shopiere Days, a southern Rock County tradition dating back to the 1950s. This year's Shopiere Days celebration will take place June 26-28.
This Memorial Day, let us take a moment to remember and honor all who paid the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage and dedication will never be forgotten.

Looking for a great place to let your dog run and play? Check out the City of Beloit Dog Park located on Springbrook Court or take the short walk in through Leeson Park.
.@CAIRockWalworth hosted a fantastic block party at Regina Dunkin Park today. Marc Perry did an excellent job on the grill, and it was great to see a well-attended event with so many community members and local organizations coming together for the day.
Danielle and I had a ton of fun at the Evansville Art Crawl. We enjoyed checking out all the amazing art vendors and walking throughout downtown Evansville.
I encouraged students and guests to keep our first responders in their thoughts, to recognize the importance of civility in our community, and to reflect on the past 250 years of our country as we approach the United States’ 250th anniversary. (2/3)
Sully especially appreciates how connected Beloit Memorial Hospital is to the community and the important role it plays in keeping families healthy across the region.
For this #SullySunday, Sully visited Beloit Memorial Hospital, a cornerstone of healthcare in our community. From its 24/7 Level III Trauma Center to specialized care in cardiology, cancer treatment, and orthopedics, Beloit Memorial Hospital provides high-quality care.
I want to thank Rock County Sheriff Curt Fell for his opening remarks and Rock County Sergeant David Rossmiller for his keynote address during the ceremony.
I attended the 31st Annual Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony. The names of officers from across the Midwest who died in the line of duty over the last year were honored. We also took time to reflect on and recognize the officers from our own area who made the ultimate sacrifice.
This is actually incredible. @GovEvers own staff has no idea how revenue limits work and doesn’t understand that the general aid increase in the spending deal was simply a buy down of property taxes rather than an increase in resources that districts could spend.
A revenue limit is not the same as a levy limit. When the state spends more on general education aid like this and does not increase the revenue limit, it simply shifts spending from property taxes to the state. No additional resources were being added from a general aid perspective.
It is unfathomable to me that the governor’s own staff does not understand how this works. Wow.
