Tuesday night, I attended the Allouez Village Board meeting to discuss the future of Green Bay Correctional Institution. Thank you @repsteffen and @SenatorWall for being there for the discussion.

Joined @RepBenFranklin and others yesterday @LambeauField for a briefing from the @packers. Also got a chance to enjoy a training camp practice. Thank you, Packers for your investments in the stadium, surrounding area, your charity work, and all you do for Wisconsin. #GoPackGo
Glad to have lead the effort in the Assembly to use one-time funds to fully-fund the expansion of the Port of Green Bay. Expanding our port will not only boost our local economy but make statewide impact. Thank you @EricWimberger for leading this motion through the State Senate.
Had a great afternoon visiting @EAA. If you haven't been able to attend yet, I encourage you to check it out. Over 500,000 individuals and more than 10,000 aircrafts visit each July, making Wittman Regional Airport the busiest airport in the world!
During the state budget process, I was proud to vote to restart Wisconsin's film tax credit and create a State Film Office. I'm hopeful this state investment will lead to more films being produced in Northeast Wisconsin.
ICYMI: Earlier this week, my colleagues and I held a press conference to highlight the $20 million in state funding we secured to development the @PortofGreenBay. This one-time funding will fully-fund the port and bring decades of economic growth to region and state!
Proud to have secured $20 million for the @PortofGreenBay alongside Senator Eric Wimberger!
This expansion will be fully-funded by the state and will generate millions of dollars in economic growth for @browncountywi.
Thanks to the $20 million investment @RepBenFranklin and I secured in our new state budget, the @PortofGreenBay's expansion will be fully-funded.
This will chart a new course for decades of economic growth in Northeast Wisconsin.

"I was elected to work across the aisle to accomplish state policy for Wisconsinites, and this budget is a major win for Northeast Wisconsin."
See my full statement below:
The Governor’s action halts our momentum and continues to put workers, inmates, and the general public at risk. While I am incredibly disappointed, I remain committed to getting GBCI closed.
I find this incredibly disappointing. After months of hard work by the legislature, Governor Evers chose to line item veto the decommissioning date for GBCI.
The Governor’s action halts our momentum and continues to put workers, inmates, and the general public at risk.
Despite vetoing a state budget provision that would have set a 2029 deadline for the closure of Green Bay Correctional Institution, Gov. Tony Evers says he agrees with lawmakers that the prison needs to close. How they get there is still to be determined.

This evening, my colleagues and I will debate and vote on the 2025-27 Biennial Budget. I look forward to tonight's discussion, and to ultimately delivering transformative victories not only for the 88th Assembly District but for all of Wisconsin!
Tune in @ https://t.co/aceIV3oQNL
Proud to vote in committee to provide $1 million in additional funding for @uwgb's Rising Phoenix program.
Rising Phoenix is a dual enrollment program that gives high school students from Northeast Wisconsin a head start on their college education.
Expanding the @PortofGreenBay will help chart a course for Brown County's economic growth for decades to come.
@RepBenFranklin and I are proud to have secured $20 million in funding for this once-in-a-generation project in our next budget, expanding commerce and reinforcing Northeast Wisconsin's place in the global economy.

Formalizing a decommissioning date into state law will ensure decisive action is taken to solve this longstanding issue and prevent the bureaucratic delays which have plagued this situation for far too long.
Having a great time visiting Art in the Park in beautiful De Pere. We have so many talented artists in our community. Come check out the activities presented by North Shore Bank and the De Pere Area Chamber of Commerce!
Yesterday, the Assembly recognized @ajdillon7 for his positive impact on Northeast Wisconsin while playing for the Green Bay Packers. Best of luck in Philly!
Earlier this week, the budget-writing committee allocated funding for 42 additional Assistant District Attorney positions across Wisconsin. Brown County is expected 7 new ADAs. I'm excited for Brown County to receive this much-needed support to reduce their court backlog.
