It is estimated that every $1 spent marketing Alaska generates $58 in visitor spending. I look forward to continue working with ATIA and Explore Fairbanks to bring more visitors to the Interior and Alaska as a whole. #akleg
The @Alaska_TIA is having a board meeting in Fairbanks and this evening I attended their recepition. Tourism is a key economic driver in Alaska and ATIA does great work promoting Alaska to the world and working with local destination marketing organizations like @explorfairbanks
This year during the budget process, I was able to pass an amendment to provide ATIA $5 million for tourism marketing. This money will help ATIA promote Alaskan Tourism and bring more visitors to Alaska.

Late last night the 2nd session of the 33rd #akleg came to and end. Today I cleaned out my desk on the House Floor and am packing up my office so I can head home to Fairbanks in a few days. I look forward to reconnecting with friends, neighbors, and community members back home.
