It’s sad to see Gov. Evers veto a variety of bills, specifically ones aimed at patching unemployment loopholes. Now, people will continue to cheat unemployment and take away resources from those that actually need it, costing taxpayers more. These vetoes are disappointing.

I introduced the 400-Year Property Tax Repeal Act with Sen. Kapenga, Rep. Piwowarczyk, and Sen. Nass. Gov. Evers used a partial veto to turn a 2-year school funding increase into a 400-year property tax hike—until the year 2425. That’s not budgeting, that’s ruling by decree.
