The U.S. @StateDept's #2023report on #Turkey emphasizes the harm caused by the "FETÖ" label, which has led to discrimination and persecution of #Gülenmovement members, often based on scant evidence and minimal due process.

Media outlets, journalists, and individuals should avoid using the label unless absolutely necessary for journalism purposes, and if they must, enclose it in quotation marks to prevent contributing to hate speech and further harm to those targeted by the label.
