Sole bad actor? 14 Assembly Republicans signed on to a letter asking Mike Pence to not certify the results of the 2020 election. 10 of them will still be in the Assembly next session.
As the 2021-2022 Session winds down, we are continuing to extend our sincere thanks to our outgoing members!
Thank you, @RepHebl, for your service to the 46th District and Wisconsin!
Special session? Covid response? Responding to a subpoena? ANY legislating after, like, March? Sorry, Robin can’t, he’s too busy chatting with his rich donors
From Vos' lawsuit: "... the Committee is demanding (Vos) appear for a deposition to answer questions irrelevant to the Committee’s investigation, with virtually no notice, in the closing days of his reelection campaign, merely because of the Committee’s public relations scheme."
Considering I introduced this exact legislation in 17, 19, & 21 & it has not received so much as a public hearing, I am begging WI press to ask a follow up on if & why they don't support the actual text of the bill & not let Vos/LeMahieu get away w/just dismissing it out of hand
Seems like the outcome here is that the Republican-controlled State Senate is just never going to confirm a successor to a Republican-appointed position now.

“The name Gary has almost died out. In 2013, only 450 newborns were given the name in the US, in the UK just 28.”
Weirder, the name was only popular for a few decades, and was unheard of before the late ‘20s. Why the boom? Gary Cooper, who took his stage name from Gary, Indiana.

Facebook is faced with the choice between coming up with something better than the opposition or simply trashing them. They’ve chosen Option B, so it makes perfect sense to hire Republicans to carry it out- that’s right in their wheelhouse
I'm optimistic with a (slightly) less gerrymandered map leading to a (hopefully) less extreme Republican caucus, the party in power in Madison will be more responsive to popular opinion. If not, I hope that we can get some momentum on AJR100 next session
This is the power of gerrymandering. Wisconsin Democrats offered a ton of popular legislation- like expanding BadgerCare, nonpartisan redistricting, and marijuana legalization. But...
Wisconsin columnist @DanRShafer tells @eisendrath that in the latest two-year session “less than 1 percent of Democratic bills” have received a hearing in the state’s GOP-controlled Legislature.

I've authored a bill that would allow Wisconsinites an avenue to bypass an intransigent legislature and be able to introduce legislation themselves - Assembly Joint Resolution 100 https://t.co/TXVPpxUgrM
