Eastern North Carolina is my home, and I remain committed to strengthening our economy, protecting our rural communities, and improving infrastructure and flood resilience. 1/3.
It was a delight to spend time with Greene County Sheriff Matt Sasser at our #NCGA office in Raleigh. I appreciate his friendship, leadership, and dedication to serving the people of Greene County. Thanks for the visit and for all you do to keep our communities safe.
This $5.3 million investment and creation of 60 new jobs is great news for Greene County and all of Eastern North Carolina. Strong partnerships between the #NCGA, local leaders, and private industry continue to create opportunities for our communities and strengthen our economy.
Itโs always valuable to hear about local priorities, discuss opportunities for our communities, and connect with those who are investing in the future of Eastern North Carolina. Thank you both for taking the time to meet today!
I also appreciated the opportunity to spend time with Lenoir County Commission Chair Linda Rouse Sutton & Kinston Mayor Kareem Moore. Strong partnerships between local, state, and federal leaders are essential as we continue working together to keep Lenoir County moving forward.
Honored to join local leaders from across Lenoir County in meeting with Congressman Greg Murphy. Representatives from the City of Kinston, Pink Hill, La Grange, & @LCPSNC were all in attendance for a productive discussion about the issues impacting our communities.
Freedom has been preserved generation after generation by brave Americans willing to lay down their lives. Today, we honor those heroes & remember the families who sacrificed alongside them. May we always strive to live in a way worthy of their service & devotion to our country.
It was a pleasure meeting in Raleigh with Dr. Holly Warren, Medical Director at the Lenoir County Health Department. We had an important discussion about Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders and the impact these challenges have on children, families, and communities across NC.
It was a pleasure hosting Michael Jordan, Fire Chief of Maysville, at our #NCGA office. We had a productive conversation about emergency services, public safety, & the challenges facing first responders. I appreciate Chief Jordanโs commitment to strengthening our communities.
This week, the #NCGA House voted to override the Governorโs veto of HB 87 and stand up for NC families.
Parents deserve the freedom to choose the educational environment that best meets their childโs needs. Expanding opportunity & empowering families will help students succeed.
Congratulations to LCC, Senator Jim Perry, and all the community partners who helped us make this vision a reality. The future is bright, and the sky is truly the limit for the next generation right here at home.
It was an honor to celebrate the opening of the Senator Jim Perry Aviation Center for Excellence with Lenoir Community College at the NC Global TransPark!
This incredible facility represents a major investment in the future of Eastern North Carolina โ creating new opportunities for students, strengthening workforce development, and supporting the continued growth of aviation and aerospace in our region.
Thank you to Myranda Jeffrey and her family for stepping up to serve our community โ and thanks to all the local leaders who helped us make this happen.

After four years without local DMV services, Iโm proud to share that a new License Plate Agency is officially open in Snow Hill! This means families, seniors, and hardworking residents no longer have to travel out of county for tag renewals, registrations, and title work.
WATCH: Country music star Eric Church describes the creative process behind his extremely personal UNC commencement speech, revealing he turned to his guitar after months of writer's block:
"Finally, one night, in a fit of frustration, I picked up my guitar just to kind of just to get away from the frustrating part of trying to write the speech. And as I was strumming the guitar, it just dawned on me. I hit all six strings and I thought, you know, hey, what what if I could make a speech out of these?" | @foxandfriends@ainsleyearhardt
