Mr. Charlie Duncan, the oldest World War II veteran in Georgia and a Cobb County native, has passed away at the age of 107. Charlie was an inspiration to so many in the 11th Congressional District, and we are incredibly grateful to him for his service to the United States at a critical time in our nation’s history.

The House has passed the FY27 National Defense Authorization Act, which invests in and strengthens America’s military, supporting the men and women who serve and defend our nation.

The NDAA includes:

- Raises pay for our troops

- Largest funding boost for our military in history

-Expands childcare for military families

-Bans funds from going to the Taliban

The integrity of our elections is paramount to preserving our freedoms and our constitutional republic. Foreign interference into our elections and the theft of our citizens’ personal information by foreign adversaries is not only a threat to our privacy, it is a threat to national security. Every American should be outraged, not only at the foreign interference in our elections, but with the suppression of this information from the President and Congress for political reasons. “The CFPB was designed, no matter how flawed that design was, was to protect consumers. I think it's been clear to many of us who have sat, at least in the dais and on this side of the room that for many years, that was not what the CFPB was doing, but it was a name and shame organization against businesses and industries that it determined or its director determined they did not like. That is not the design. That is not the constitutional design nor the design of what any government agency should be. And so our constitutional system entrusts Congress with writing the laws and the executive branch with faithfully executing them. That distinction is fundamental to ensuring that significant policy decisions are made by the people's elected representatives, rather than by administrative agencies, which is, what we've seen within CFPB for many years, writing their own rules and proceeding with their own agenda.”

“… Operation Chokepoint 2.0 involved partisan actors at the Fed using is, quote, reputation risk as a means to target and debank firms and individuals in the digital asset ecosystem, the energy industry, and really anyone that partisan actors at the Fed believed unworthy of a bank account or loan. This was especially egregious given the fact that the Fed does not have a statutory authority from congress to supervise for reputation risk.”
