In the House Ways and Means Committee, we have been working to cut red tape and help rural communities get the resources they need through the Rural Health Transformation Fund. We did our part by authorizing the fund, and now the state has done theirs.
It has just been announced that Wooster Community Hospital will receive $1.3 MILLION from the Rural Transformation Fund. I look forward to seeing all that they can achieve for the health of OH-07.

What a ridiculous statement. Maybe we should ask the hundreds of dead civilians in Bucha what they think of Putin’s humanitarian instincts? ⬇️

It was a pleasure to attend the police chiefs’ roundtable, hosted by the City of Independence and the Independence Police Department. We discussed law enforcement technologies, how they aid the cause, and what more we can do.
Thank you, Independence, for having me!
It has become a luxury to have a mortgage. As a result, we are seeing a trickle-down effect: fewer Americans are starting families, putting down roots, and living the American Dream.
This Congress, we passed the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act, which cuts bureaucratic red tape, and I introduced the Homes for Heroes Act, which aids veterans in their efforts to buy a home.
Next Congress, there is still more to do. Read my op-ed below ⬇️

I had a fantastic visit with the leadership team at Wooster Community Hospital. They gave me a tour of their facility and shared the important work they’re doing, as well as their hope of acquiring an imaging machine to better meet the healthcare needs of patients in Wooster.
Rural hospitals often face challenges that urban hospitals do not. Access to equipment and manpower can be limited, even as these hospitals serve our agricultural communities—the people who work hard to put food on our tables.
I look forward to continuing to assist Wooster’s invaluable healthcare efforts!
The Administration should not waive sanctions passed by Congress to punish Russia for its brutal war of choice in Ukraine.
I agree with the President that ending this war is in the US’s national interest, but we should exercise American power to pressure Russia to stop fighting, rather than buy their oil and hold our Ukrainian allies back from using their full combat potential.
It was a pleasure getting to visit with Kory Wiita, the founder of ARC Medina. He gave us a tour of their facility and spoke to us about his personal journey with a spinal cord injury and how it inspired the work he and his team are doing to bring new paralysis therapies to Ohio.
I’m truly in awe their commitment to help heal and motivate those in the community who deal with these challenges.
I had the privilege of touring the AllFasteners facility in Medina today with Mayor Shields of Medina and Police Chief Kinney. AllFasteners has become a national leader in fastening and construction supply—and thanks to the Working Families Tax Cuts’ bonus depreciation, they can invest in new equipment, expand, and create more opportunities right here in Medina.
When local manufacturers grow, our economy grows. 🇺🇸
Ohio and American families face steep challenges due to rising fuel costs. I am heartened at the actions taken this week that begin to take steps to reign in the high cost of diesel critical to power our economy and jobs that fuel our nation.

🚨 Today, 86% of children with cancer survive at least five years, compared to approximately 58% in the mid-1970s. We have made incredible progress in combating this disease, but there is still major work to be done.
I introduced a resolution recognizing Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, honoring the resilience of these children and families, and highlighting the efforts of the doctors and researchers. ⬇️

It was a beautiful day in Medina for the Fall Festival. It is truly amazing to witness the talent and effort that go into their crafts. Gatherings like these make me so proud to be a part of this community.
Seniors deserve more choices when it comes to their health care. This legislation allows them to make informed comparisons between Medicare Advantage and traditional Medicare, while providing greater stability in their benefits. I was proud to cosponsor this legislation!
PASSED: The Ways and Means Committee just passed H.R. 4093, the Apples to Apples Comparison Act.
Introduced by @RepAaronBean, this bill will provide greater transparency into the costs and health outcomes of Medicare Advantage and Traditional Medicare, giving lawmakers and seniors better data to make informed decisions about both programs.
We say we want to make the United States of America the crypto capital of the world—and this bill makes sure that goal isn’t just a bunch of hot air. I am proud of the work we have put into this legislation and for the inclusion of my bill, the Full House Act.
Fraud scams are costing Americans billions of dollars, with the amount of money lost increasing by about 27% each year. Under current law, the federal government is able to tax citizens on the stolen money, adding insult to injury. Last night, my Tax Relief for Fraud Victims Act passed the House, rectifying this issue.
It was great to meet with Larry Moore, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars National Legislative Committee representatives today. Veterans both young and old, have made countless sacrifices for the security and prosperity of our nation. I am grateful for all that this committee does in advocating for their needs.
