A Pennsylvania law banning the use of handheld devices while driving has been in effect since last June, with violators being issued warnings. Starting this week, on June 6, violators will instead face fines.

PennDOT announced yesterday the Wyalusing River Bridge in Terry and Wyalusing townships, Bradford County, has reopened. This comes one month ahead of PennDOT's original schedule.

Colton built a sensory walkway through the nature garden at Mount Pisgah State Park in Troy to obtain this honorable rank.

This year, the theme was “Glorify God Among the Nations, Seeking Him in All Generations.”
Earth Day was celebrated on Saturday with the Bradford County Conservation District. It was a great event featuring local groups committed to the natural world around us.

Yesterday was a great day for the 4th annual Blessing of the Balers and 'May Is Beef Month' celebration!
I joined Rep. Bud Cook, who hosts every year, along with fellow state lawmakers, agricultural leaders and students to celebrate the history and success of agriculture in PA.
On Sunday, I presented Father Jose Joseph Kuriapilly with a House citation in honor of his Silver Jubilee, marking 25 years of priestly service!
Father Kuriapilly was first ordained on Feb. 1, 2001, and has been with the Diocese of Scranton since 2018.
The men and women of the Wilmot Fire Co. came together recently for their 30th member appreciation dinner to celebrate their newly renovated fire hall and their many accomplishments from over the past year.

I recently presented a new Pennsylvania State Flag to the Wyoming County Emergency Management Agency building in Tunkhannock. On Thursday, Wyoming County EMA Director Ralph Schwartz proudly raised the flag high for all to see!
